About

Gennady Khvorykh

Hello! I’m Gennady Khvorykh, a bioinformatician from National Research Centre «Kurchatov Institute» (Moscow, Russia).

Medical and population genetics are within the scope of my interests. I search for the genetic variants that contribute to ischemic stroke, using Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) and machine learning (ML) approaches. Besides, I search for the genetic signals of natural selection, applying statistical methods to the genotypes of human populations.

A strong believer in modeling, the written word, and positive mood!
